Vilafam\u00e9s dispone de un renovado cementerio municipal. Las obras de mejora y adecuaci\u00f3n han finalizado con \u00e9xito, justo a tiempo para que el vecindario haya podido desplazarse a las instalaciones durante la festividad de Todos Santos del pasado 1 de noviembre. El proyecto ha contado con una inversi\u00f3n de 220.000 euros sufragados totalmente por el consistorio.<\/p>\n

Por una parte, la actuaci\u00f3n ha permitido ampliar la capacidad de nichos disponibles con 200 nuevos. A un grupo de nichos ya edificado se han a\u00f1adido 52 nuevos y se ha construido otro grupo con 148. Las acciones llevadas a cabo tambi\u00e9n se han enfocado en la reparaci\u00f3n de zonas en mal estado, como las cubiertas de los grupos de nichos o las grietas presentes en los menajes.<\/p>\n

Por otra banda, se ha mejorado el acceso al cementerio para hacerlo m\u00e1s accesible a todas las personas y sus condiciones. En la entrada se ha sustituido el umbral de la puerta de entrada as\u00ed como la puerta posterior. Tambi\u00e9n se han eliminado las escaleras principales que daban acceso a las instalaciones y se han instalado rampas m\u00e1s c\u00f3modas para los usuarios y usuarias.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n se ha actuado sobre el segundo acceso al cementerio con un incremento de la anchura de la entrada, donde se ha colocado una nueva puerta y se ha hormigonado una rampa de acceso.
